Synthetic Love – Nora Companion Mod Updated For Next Gen

This mod adds Nora, the female player character, as a fully voiced Synth companion near Diamond City Market. She comes with a small introductory quest and features full voice acting for recruitment, dismissal, and quest dialogue. The mod supports both male and female Sole Survivors. Now this classic mod can finally be played on Next Gen without issues!

With that said in order for her to spawn you have walk under the Diamond City entrance arch in order to spawn Nora just it was in the original.

Nora's Personality & Background

To enable interactions with other companions, Nora has a defined personality separate from the Sole Survivor. While player choices usually shape the Sole Survivor's character, this Nora is her own person, influenced by her past and her identity as a Synth.

Before the War

Nora was a lawyer, passionate about justice. She planned to return to her career after giving birth to Shaun, finally able to live a peaceful life with her husband, who had just returned from war. Life in the suburbs of Boston was perfect—blue skies, green grass, friendly neighbors—until the bombs fell.

She remembers entering Vault 111’s decontamination chamber and falling asleep. Then, a flash of light—people in hazmat suits, shadows moving in the dark—and silence.

When she woke again, everything had changed. This wasn’t Vault 111. Scientists in white coats examined her, ran tests, and ignored her questions. Over time, she noticed small things—her old scar from a dog bite was gone. Her body didn’t feel different, but something was off. Eventually, one scientist broke the silence:

"It’s been 200 years since the war. You’re a Synth—an Institute prototype, built to be a Courser. Your memories belong to a woman who died long ago."
