Preface

My goal with this mod was to allow the player character to bypass the intro sequence without using additional scripts, custom quests, or menus. I achieved this by swapping only vanilla records and quest entries to ensure maximum compatibility while keeping all relevant objects intact inside Vault 111.

I discovered that the only requirement to skip the startup scene is to either advance the quest using an activator: a trigger box OR by changing the MQ101Debug global.

This method is utilized across the base game to handle complex quest interactions.

• []For the main file, I configured a single condition to advance the quest immediately when you press the "Skip" button.[/]

  []For the second file, I utilized conditions that advance the quest once you leave the bathroom.[/]

  []The third file will force you to start at the descending Vault 111 elevator right after the bombs.[/]

  Files to choose:

  • []Option: No Character Generation (NCG) File

    []Bypasses character generation upon startup (Gender defaults to male).[/]

    []Player character wakes up directly in the cryo pod upon starting a New Game.[/]

    []Bypasses the Kellogg baby-snatching scene entirely.[/]

    []The SPECIAL menu pops up immediately after you exit the cryo pod.[/]

    []Vault 111 exploration functions exactly like vanilla gameplay.[/]

    []Note: If you want to play as a female character with this version, open the console and type "player.sexchange" to swap your gender. This is required because quest alterations alone cannot trick the game into running this specific main file sequence for a female character.[/]

  []Allows you to customize your character in the pre-war bathroom.[/]

  []Teleports your character directly to the cryo pod once character customization finishes.[/]

  []Includes a slight delay before transitioning to the post-war vault.[/]

  []Includes a slight delay before the correct image space adapter applies in the cryo pod.[/]

  []Plays the Kellogg baby-snatching scene normally.[/]

  []Allows you to exit the cryo pod and start the game once the Kellogg scene ends.[/]

  []Prompts the SPECIAL menu once you reach the center of the Vault 111 elevator.[/]
