Simple Fallout 4 Downgrader

This downgrader uses delta patching to revert the game executables (main EXE and launcher) to 1. 10. 163 and the Steam API DLL to the one pre-update. It does not connect to your Steam account and it does not require multiple console commands.

Requirements

• []The latest version of Fallout 4 on Steam (pirated copies are not supported and GOG isn't affected by this update),

  []F4SE version 0. 6. 23,

  []Address Library - All In One,

  []Backported Archive2 Support System, this requires working archive invalidation (handled by MO2 and Vortex, BethINI Pie recommended tweaks also do this).

  Instructions

  • []Download the file and extract its contents to your game's root folder,

    []Double-click the downgrader executable to launch it,

    []Wait for the "Patching successful" message in the console window that just opened, then you can close it,

    []Make sure you have the 3 mods listed in the requirements above.

    File backups are provided in the same folder. Simply delete the new executables and Steam API DLL, then remove _downgradeBackup from the backups' file name.

    Possible Issues

    Invalid hash

    Only the latest version of the game from Steam is supported. Pirated copies are NOT supported and will get you banned. GOG does not need this downgrader, as it never got the update in the first place. If you're on Steam and this still doesn't work, verify your game files then retry.

    Crashing before the game loads

    Read the requirements above and make sure you have the correct F4SE version (0. 6. 23). Don't forget to run the game through F4SE and through your manager.

    No main menu buttons

    You don't have archive invalidation active. Make sure it is enabled by your mod manager and/or that Bethini Pie recommended tweaks are applied.

    Creation Kit won't open after downgrading

    Downgrade the CK as well, or revert to the original Steam API DLL when you need CK. Root Builder is an easy way to switch between the 2, as you can set up CK itself + the original Steam DLL as a mod.
