Rivet City Renegade - Wasteland Gear for Danse

Inspired by the art of Laura Jay!

Never seemed right to me that Danse kept the Brotherhood gear after Blind Betrayal. I know I'd be dumping the uniform faster than anything! (and where on EARTH did he get that suit of x01?)

So I put together something new for him, inspired by an illustration I saw on twitter - and, of course, I'm sharing this with the artist's permission.

This is also my first attempt at scripting anything. If you install this BEFORE initiating or completing Blind Betrayal, after the quest wraps up and you go back to see Danse, he'll be wearing this instead of the brotherhood uniform and x01 armor.

If you install this AFTER Blind Betrayal has been completed, next time you see him he will have the power armor and brotherhood uniform removed and should be equipped with his new gear after you go through a load screen - with one known issue.. I've found that the script doesn't quite work as intended if he's in the same cell as you (often when he's your active follower) in which case, um, the power armor and BOS stuff will be removed and he'll get the new uniform, but he might not wear it. so you might have to tell him to equip it. (I'm working on fixing this but again, script newbie.) So if you've already completed Blind Betrayal I recommend installing this while he is NOT your active follower.

The mod does not touch anything in vanilla - no quests, no scripts. Should be compatible with anything that edits Danse or Blind Betrayal or companions or whatever. I have not tested with every mod out there, but I designed this with compatability in mind.

Recommended to use alongside a mod that lets you command Danse to get out of his power armor - as I have not touched Danse himself or his companion functionality, I suspect that if he gets back in power armor you won't be able to tell him to get out. I recommend Danse GTFO Power Armor as a simple solution, however there are a number of mods that can accomplish this. (I use AFT/Amazing FollowerTweaks)

As well, once you've reached max affinity with him and gotten his perk, the outfit becomes craftable at the chem workbench. (Female version included in case you wanna wear it yourself)

Default download is 2k/1k textures, but there is a 4k/2k version available as well. If you need 1k textures you can grab that version off Bethnet.
