📋 About This Mod
This adds a remeshed version of newermind43's T-51c Airforce Power Armor to return it back to the original style as seen in the Fallout New Vegas mod T-57c Power Armor. This is for both male and female characters. Made for the vanilla
Hi everyone and welcome back to Return of the Classics with the now released Part 7. Like how it was in Fallout New Vegas I brought it back to its classic ways of being a heavy armor. I want to truly thank newermind43 yet again for allowing me permission to use his models. I have also named the armor in game as the T-51a for being the first model of the set. I will explain it in the lore.
Edit: I also want to mention that this will be the last time I use newermind43 permission picture since I have now done all three requested model. If I were to do another one of his models, I will have to ask for his permission again.
As a disclaimer for the lore, these little lore tabs I make is part of my view of fallout because there are many lore friendly mods that truly connect back to the main lore wonderfully. So I hope you find these somewhat interesting and explainable as to why these armors exist to begin with :). Also I really like the idea in the Fallout New Vegas mod where the T-57 was distributed to the boomers and for fun want to explain how they have them.
Lore: The United States Airforce had gained an interest after the creation of the T-50 power armor and believed that they should have their own unique set of power armor to guard their air force bases it was then with enough funding was able to create their own power armor. The first model was known as the T-51a which was just regular heavy armor than ran on energy cells. It was later down the line that the T-51c power armor was created to work alongside the T-51a and T-51b. It was later decided that the T-51a would be given to guards present on airplanes for "better protection" if a communist spy was on board, also because the T-51c would be too big to fit in an airplane. Eventually nearing the end of the war, the air force would create very few models of their power armor eventually creating the T-57 and is known to be their last model when the war ended. However various planes crashed due to the nukes, but there is a decent chance of finding a perfect set of T-51a in one of those prewar military crates. Maybe you should go have a look at Skylanes Flight 1981. It is also known that the other sets of the T-57 power armor are said to still remain in various air force bases. It's no wonder that Neils Air Force Base would have some of these models, which the Boomers would use to further increase their defense.
Also the back will be a tiny bit weird when crouching. If there is any mod author that specializes in bone weights can help me with this back problem it would be much appreciated. :)
