Reshade True Light

A Reshade preset that will improve image quality without losing performances that much. The preset include Obscurance Irradiance, an image Sharpen and an fast Ray Traced Global Illumination (see screenshots).

Requirement

Last version need at least Reshade v6. 5. 1

Install

Just unzip and copy the ReshadeTrueLight.ini file in your Fallout4 game directory, then install Reshade and select the preset, either at install or during the game (press Home key). To install Reshade, just download the latest version from https://reshade.me, then during installation select your Fallout4 executable, for Directx 11, and select the shaders to install (all or just those for that preset).

Recommendations

Make sure to press Edit global processor definition on the Home panel and change RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED to 0 if you don't see a black and white image with black objects closer than white objects with the DisplayDepth test shader (just enable it for testing then disable it), so your z buffer will be in correct orientation for some shaders (see last screenshot).

A recent graphics card with 8 GB or more of VRAM is recommended for optimal results.

Check the optimisation box at the bottom‑right of the ReShade panel to improve performance.

Remarks

It seems there's a bug with latest Reshade on the Pipboy map that make hard to click on fast travel... not sure yet, it's on investigation. But if you insist by clicking several times it may fast travel though, just a workaround for now.
