📋 About This Mod
Updated to 1. 1. You can now remove any weapon part. Removing anything but the weapon's sights will cause it to stop functioning entirely (removing the sights merely drastically reduces your accuracy). Removing the receiver will still entirely dismantle most weapons.
This mod should be compatible with any other, including mods that add new weapons, so long as they've correctly mimicked Bethesda's keyword system.
A Word Of Warning: If the only option displayed is "No <part>", Do Not Build It!
it will permanently screw up that weapon. This is an unavoidable problem caused by Bethesda allowing some weapons to receive parts they do not actually have; an example is the Gatling Laser, which is flagged to allow a grip. Building a 'no grip' on it will break it entirely.Weapons will function just fine once they have had a regular receiver re-equipped, no other mods needed. It will look extremely strange, it will not gain the benefits of all those mods, but it will otherwise function perfectly well. I leave it to your own conscience as to whether or not you're fine with using a gun which is, essentially, just a floating firing mechanism.
In any case, enjoy!

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Straightforward QoL improvement—no more losing mods when you scrap a weapon
- Decent community adoption (234 endorsements) for a niche utility
- Lightweight and focused, does one thing well
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2016, so may have compatibility issues with newer game patches or DLC
- No mention of compatibility with popular mods like Armorsmith Extended or modded weapons
- Limited to weapons only—doesn't cover armor mods
For Fallout 4 players who frequently swap weapon mods and hate losing them when scrapping. If you're a hoarder or like to experiment with different builds, this is a must-have. Skip if you rarely scrap weapons or use mods that already handle this.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the latest game patch, as the mod is old and may need compatibility patches
- Test with a save before relying on it heavily—some mods can conflict with weapon mod scripts
- If you use modded weapons, check if they use custom mods that might not be recoverable
