📋 About This Mod
Topic: Clothes / eye wear / goggles / mask
Weld Goggles, simply changed lens to vibrant red to look like night vision. Will update if/when i learn to make them emit light as well. (or if you do it, message me sure) - I only know about using nifskope to achieve this but it is not working with fallout 4 yet as far as im aware.
Added a black mask if you don't like the default dirty white mask. (they are the same file so need to be in 1 mod if you want both)
Initial set up of mods (preferabes file thingy), then - Just place the files in fallout 4/data where ever that might be.
Added glow, woo: big thanks to xxdeathknight72xx and his glow tutorial: http://devonjhartman.wix.com/cg-work-profile#!mods/cytn
A compact cosmetic mod for Fallout 4 that adds red weld goggles with a black mask, now featuring a glow effect. With 279 endorsements and nearly 6,000 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated addition for players seeking post-apocalyptic eyewear.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community support with 279 endorsements and nearly 6,000 downloads.
- Simple cosmetic addition that fits the Fallout 4 aesthetic.
- Glow effect adds a unique visual flair for role-playing or screenshots.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2015, so it may not be compatible with newer game patches or DLC.
- No detailed description, so you're flying blind on where to find the item or how it's crafted.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter the same armor slots or add similar eyewear.
For Fallout 4 players who want a quick, lore-friendly cosmetic accessory for their wasteland wanderer. If you're into screenshotting or role-playing a welder or mechanic character, this is a nice touch. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or if you prefer more modern, feature-rich mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a simple cosmetic mod, you can install it manually by dropping the files into your Data folder, but using a mod manager like Nexus Mod Manager or Vortex is safer for easy uninstallation.
- Check the mod's comments or posts section on Nexus for any user-reported issues or instructions on where to find the goggles in-game.
- If you're using other armor mods, be aware that this might conflict with items that occupy the same equipment slot; use a mod like Armor and Clothing Overhaul to manage slots if needed.
