Realistic Carry Weight

Installation and Usage

- To use this mod, please update your carry weight in-game by drinking the respawning wine placed in the Vault 111 Exterior Control Room (see image) - if you cannot conveniently reach it for any reason (eg: due to being in survival mode) then any strength-modifying aid item will do.

- Aternatively, put "player.modav strength 1" (without quotes) into the console, press enter, then "player.modav strength -1" to update your strength/weight.

- Not compatible with anything else that modifies the base carry weight or strength bonus.

This mod is not recommended for use alongside survival mode, but you can try!

The Story

The average person can carry up to about half of their body weight in lbs, depending on the amount of training they've had. However, the basegame carry weight is a shocking 200 - already far more than what the average (trained, even!) person can carry! Additionally, each point of Strength added 10 to this. This resulted in endgame carry weights of around 300. Imagine carrying that much in real life, let alone still being able to run or sprint! Considering a full set of heavy combat armour weighs about 46 and a Gatling Laser/Fat Man between 20-30 (totalling just under 80 if you were to carry the combination), an appropriate "end" for the carry weight was instead deemed to be 90.

Thus, these values have been cut down to: - A base of 40 - An additional 5 per point of Strength
