Nuka Quantum Grenade - Damage Radius and Explosion Fix

This mod changes the Nuka Quantum Grenade by (i) increasing its area of damage so it's actually effective in combat and (ii) making its explosion bigger but still based on the cool blue vanilla model.

Why I Made This:

I was surprised that the Nuka Quantum Grenade seemed so ineffective, despite its damage being 2nd only to the Nuka Grenade, and had such a ridiculously tiny explosion. When I checked the grenade's Explosion Data in FO4Edit, the reasons became obvious.

Inner Radius is the area in which (along with certain effects) full explosive damage is applied and Outer Radius is the area in which NPCs take at least some damage (but see note at end).  Most grenades including the Frag, Molotov, Plasma, Cryo and Baseball, have an Inner Radius of 150 and an Outer Radius of 500.  The powerhouse Nuka Grenade has an Inner Radius of 300 and an Outer Radius of 700.  The Nuka Quantum Grenade lags far behind with an Inner Radius of 50 and an Outer Radius of 200.  That's 1/3 the Inner Radius of a frag grenade, 1/6 compared to the Nuka Grenade, and its Outer Radius isn't much better - no wonder it's so disappointing.

I call this a "fix" because those settings are so low that I'm guessing it was a development mistake. Other than that, I really like the grenade (I love the blue mushroom explosion) but couldn't find a mod that changed only those settings and didn't also change damage, explosion type, etc.  So I made this for myself, using FO4Edit and the Creation Kit, and thought I'd share.

What I Did:

I increased Inner Radius to 300 and Outer Radius to 800 so, although it remains the 2nd most powerful grenade, it now has the widest area of effect (well, slightly: same Inner Radius, but 14% larger Outer Radius, compared to the Nuka Grenade).  I also changed the Image Space Radius, but that change shouldn't be very noticeable if at all (see note at end).  Everything else was left vanilla.

The result is that the Nuka Quantum Grenade is now much more effective in combat, but not overpowered, and the explosion is much larger but not overdone.

Alternate File With Added Knockdown Effect:

Same radius fix and also knocks down NPCs within range.

Installation:

Download 1 of the 2 files via NMM or other mod manager and activate.  Or download manually, unpack, and place the .esp in your data folder.

Compatibility:

This mod will conflict with others that modify the Explosion Data of the Nuka Quantum Grenade. It should work fine with sorting mods like VIS.  (I use VIS myself.)
