No Food for You

Have you ever wondered why, after 200 years, there is so much food just lying out in the open in the wasteland? Do you find it strange that a 200-year old sweet roll found on the dusty floor of some abandon shack is perfectly edible, nutritious and yummy?   Maybe they put nuclear-powered preservatives in them?  Or maybe they just don't belong.

Update: I've added "No Food For You, Well.... SOME food for you" 

Removes food from exterior areas, but leaves interior areas alone.  Great for players (like me) who love the concept but feel removing ALL pre-war food is a wee bit too much.  For the Lore Lords/Realism Nazi's out there, just pretend the surface has long since been scavenged but interiors still have edible loot to be found because they're harder to find and all.... (and nuclear powered preservatives is a thing)

What this mod does:

This mod simply removes almost all of the hand placed pre-war food items from the game.

What this mod doesn't do:

It does not touch leveled lists, vendors, characters, containers or dead bodies.  It also does not touch post-war food, like grilled rad-roach meat or squirrel-bits. or Iguana-on-a-stick.  You'll still find food, just no pre-war food lying out in the open.

Best Played With:

War of the Commonwealth, by Engager A great mod, you can set it up so animals (roaches, mole rats, etc) respawn frequently in the world, giving you a fighting chance of keeping you stomach fed via hunting and cooking.

Installation:

Download and install with your favorite mod manager.  Place high in your load order.

Load Order: 

The best place to put this mod is directly below the unofficial fallout 4 patch.  In any case, it should be placed high in your mod order.

Compatibility:

Should be compatible with anything, as long as you do not screw up the load order.  Since it changes a great number of placed item records, and therefore it contains worldspace and cell edits, it is very important to place this mod above any other mod which edits visuals in the game.  Examples include mods which change the lighting, sound, weather, locations, etc.  Placing this mod below such other mods will likely cause problems with those other mods, possibly even ctd's.
