📋 About This Mod
Killable Children made simply.
The other two available mods are very outdated and make erroneous and unnecessary edits to give the player a simple feature. I was disappointed to discover that both popular attempts at such a simple mod had so many errors and strange edits. While I don't usually kill child NPCs when I play, I still don't like them to be immortal so I've made this as lightweight and compatible as possible alternative.
-
[]All children are simply mortal now.
[
]A few children's dispositions have been changed from the Cowardly default to Cautious or Brave where it made sense.[]Billy Peabody is protected so he can survive the quest but the player can still kill him.
[]This mod is compatible with Horizon out of the box which specifically means Kat has a minor defense buff.
- No other changes from vanilla stats were otherwise made.
No weapons, stats, or experience values were altered so murdering children doesn't give you XP. Surprisingly, children can still kill you easily at low level on high difficulty even with the their vanilla stats.
This mod requires Nuka World and Far Harbor.
It should be compatible with any mod that does not edit one of the child race NPCs.
Recommended Mods:
Universal Actor Scale Remover - Removes actor scaling when settlers that are not adult males use workbenches or furniture
Special thanks to Nexus user Parabellum1901 for finding to errors and solutions that were fixed in v0. 2
