📋 About This Mod
More Hairstyles for Children:
This is a very simple and self-explanained mod, you will now be able to chose from 23 different hairstyles for either child settlers or playable children.
These hairstyles were not just scaled up until they covered children's heads, but carefully transformed to fit their proportions such as ears positions, back of the head and hairlines, as well as customized animation weights in some cases, including physics in others:
Note: These hairstyles were simply added to the selectable options in LooksMenu; if you're using Custom Playable Children you just have to open the console and type "slm 14" to be able to change your hairstyle, or visit a barber; if you want to edit NPCs' and Settlers' hairstyles, you can open the console while facing them, click over them to reveal their ref ID and typing "slm " to open the LooksMenu for them.
Suggestions are welcomed and requests are taken into consideration. Enjoy!
Known issues:
- Due to the original meshes' "double layering" some of these hairstyles may looks a bit odd under very specific angles and lighting, but not noticeable in 99% of the cases, specially during normal gameplay.
- These hairstyles are not compatible with hats, they will simply clip through any sort of headwear you may put on children, there is enough space to wear eye glasses and other face wear though.
Future Plans:
- Add the hairstyles to usable presets for settlers.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 931 endorsements and over 25k downloads.
- Brings popular hair mods to children, making them look more diverse.
- Simple cosmetic addition that doesn't mess with gameplay.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires ApachiiSkyHair and KS Hairdos as dependencies, which may not be installed.
- Last updated in 2023, so might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim version or other mods.
- Only affects children's hair, so if you're looking for broader changes, this won't help.
For Skyrim players who want their kids to have more hairstyle options, especially those already using ApachiiSkyHair or KS Hairdos. If you're into visual variety for NPCs, this is a nice touch. Skip if you want gameplay changes or don't care about child NPCs.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have both ApachiiSkyHair and KS Hairdos installed first, or the mod won't work.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to handle load order and avoid conflicts.
- Check for patches if you use other mods that alter children's appearances.
