📋 About This Mod
Throughout the Commonwealth whispered legends foretell of an abomination of unparalleled size. The silhouette of a Titan scarring the bright storms of the Glowing Sea, merely a cautionary tale to keep the young and foolhardy away from what should be an obvious danger... right?
Nay, oftentimes legends are born from reality, and recent too, for only a year ago during the harsh winter, there was a Glowing One of unprecedented size, Dawn, the result of an Old World machine deep within the Whately Research Facility buried in the Glowing Sea, She roamed the Sea devouring any source of radiation She could find, consuming smaller Glowing Ones to grow ever larger. This monumental creature was assumed to have been slain, but to the remains flock the Ferals.
Whether drawn by the immense radiation, or something deeper, Ferals all across the Sea are compelled. Huddling close to the glowing flesh, being pulled into it.
Consumed by the festering remains, becoming something new, something bigger.
The few travelers and caravans that have traveled close to the southern Glowing Sea tell tales of a shadow of unimaginable size, and of feral ghouls flocking to it. Being known as "Maypole" due to the way the Ferals spiral around it being akin to the Old World tradition, very few have seen this Shadow and lived to tell the tale. For while this absurd amalgam stays within the Glowing Sea, appearing dormant, It is still very much a threat to any foolish enough to approach.
Located north of Sentinel Site, this Titan provides an immense challenge to any who dare. I tried to keep it reasonably "balanced", but one can only do so much to make a creature of this scale "balanced" so consider it as fine of a test as any to prove the strength of your finest equipment and companions. In particular crowd control and ranged DPS are key, for Maypole's Stomps are immensely strong and can flatten you even through Power Armor. However at range Maypole launches clusters of radioactive flesh, leaving hoards of ferals in its wake. So one must balance fighting the Hoards while still damaging Maypole.
Maypole has low armor, but immense health. This may take a while.
Defeating Maypole yields some powerful Equipment. Namely a unique Melee weapon capable of turning foes into friendly glowing ones, and a set of Power Armor with heavy boons from being irradiated. As well as a small set of decorations to help make your settlements nice and festive for May Day, located in the Misc Decorations and Floor Decor categories once obtaining the blueprints from Maypole.
One cannot truly defeat Maypole however, for by Atom's Will (or excess mutagenic compounds and radiation) Maypole will respawn after a few days to haunt the wastes once again
Behold! one of the more almost lore friendly mods I've made. by no means is it perfect, but I tried my best. There are inevitable issues
