  WHAT THIS MOD DOES

  This mod adds a standalone, player-exclusive lethal alternative to the Syringer with a wide variety of potential configuration options. My goal with this project was to expand upon the Syringer's capacities in a way that allows one to use it as a viable weapon throughout the entire game. However, since I felt that S. R. O. - Syringer Overhaul at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) did a fantastic job already at vastly expanding the functionality and overall appearance of the vanilla Syringer, I decided to create a standalone version instead that exists in tandem with the vanilla weapon, instead of replacing it.

  HOW TO ACQUIRE IT

  My weapon -- available in-game as the "Homemade Dart Rifle" -- is available for crafting at the Chemistry Station under its own category as soon as the player either acquires the Scrapper 1 perk (available at level 1, with 5 INT), or a vanilla Syringer.

  • []Building it using the Scrapper perk requires a large amount of fairly common materials.

  • Building it using a Syringer as a base requires no materials or perk investments, but it does require the player to have a saw (either the hacksaw or the saw), a screwdriver, and a blowtorch (either the blowtorch or the fumigus variant) in their inventory along with the Syringer.

    The Homemade Dart Rifle uses custom ammunition types which must be crafted at the Chemistry Station as well, in batches of five to ten rounds per recipe. The dart rifle must be modified in the Weapon Workbench to accommodate these rounds before they can be used.
