This mod adds the following to the game:

-3 new settlement objects

General Info about this mod:

With this mod you will be able to build a mailbox in your settlement. I wrote up to 120+ letters to simulate a certain "private life" of the settlers.

The idea behind this mod is that in reality, your settlers would write letters to each other, about pretty much everything that seems interesting to them.

Starting from someone asking another settlement for a stack of wood, to letters about sightings, hobbies, love, etc.

I wrote the letters in such a way that they are in line with the game mechanics. That means: No one will die in the letters and the topics are all conceivable in Fallout 4, I think, except for one or two easter eggs.

The adult tag exists because in a normal society people naturally also write something erotic from time to time in their letters. Even if letters with this content are far from numerous, they will still appear.

Each mailbox should be waiting for you with 0-6 letters as soon as you build it, or after some time when you return to your settlement.

A random method is used in the background, to decide which letters will appear in the mailbox.

So it is possible that if you visit again, you will find the same letters again, or completely different ones.

Unfortunately, I was not able to bind the letters to conditions, so the mod does not take into account how far along you are with your playthrough and what decisions you made in some quests.

That is also the reason why I did not write a letter for every quest event - because some quests can branch out in different directions at the end and it would be simply stupid if you then found a letter in your mailbox about the destruction of the institute, while you find another letter a second later that writes about the survival of the institute, as an example.

So I did the only thing I could do, and that was to not write a letter about those topics.

Finally, I would like to mention that it is probably better for your enjoyment if you only build one mailbox per settlement, instead of 20 - you would get all the letters too quickly and then there would be nothing new to discover.

Installation Guide:

-Download and unpack the file with 7zip (external link) or something similar.

-Simply copy all the files as they are in your Steam Fallout 4 Data folder (the path should look something like this: steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/data/ ... directory).

-Activate the mod with NMM, Vortex, or another Mod Manager of your choice.

-Yes, there are easter eggs in the mod. Some ref
