📋 About This Mod
Preface
This mod was originally developed for Looted World Expansion, a project that removes nearly all movable static objects from the game. Without these movable statics, there are no physics-enabled cars capable of killing the player character, no throwable vehicles, and no cars that "magically" drop from the sky when spawning at a distance. If you use DankRafft's Looted World, you will find yourself in a much more desolate and challenging environment.
Looted World served as the foundation for Looted World Expansion, making this mod the logical next step for both. My goal was to take the remaining static vehicles and turn them into immersive scavenging opportunities, maintaining the "gather-loot-repeat" gameplay loop while grounding it in a more realistic setting.
As development progressed, I decided to replace intact vehicles with rusted equivalents. These new models are lootable but can no longer explode, fly through the air, or cause "physics deaths" to the player. By applying these rusted texture swaps, you can now scavenge almost any vehicle in the game while maintaining a consistent, post-war aesthetic throughout the Commonwealth.
Overview
This mod makes all cars in Fallout 4 lootable by adding an equivalent container vehicle on top of the vanilla object. All added vehicles can be scrapped in the Workshop as usual and provide components based on chance.
This mod allows for complex loot tables per car. Every vehicle is logically split into its base parts:
-
[]Frame[/]
[]Rims[/]
[]Tires[/]
[]Motor/Engine[/]
[]Tank[/]
[]Etc.[/]
I have categorized engines into two types: gasoline and electric (powered by Fusion Cores). Gasoline is stored in tanks, while fusion power is found in depleted cores. Currently, I have designated Sports Cars, Mini Cars, and Fusion Fleas as the only vehicles using fusion power. The remaining vehicles in the Commonwealth use standard gasoline.

💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod only affects cars, it's safe to add mid-playthrough, but always save before installing any mod.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex, let it handle the file placement to avoid overwriting other mods.
- Check if you have any other mods that edit car meshes or textures—this mod may need to load after them to work correctly.
