📋 About This Mod
Adds a new leather hood to go with the leather armor set, all vanilla features included. Each material has unique textures to match the vanilla leather armor set. The hood and materials are balanced around the vanilla game
Two versions available: Leveled List Integration (RobCo Patcher) and Crafting-Only (with optional patch to give you both)
The plugins for both versions are flagged as ESLs and will not take up a plugin slot
v1. 1 UPDATE:
-
[]Leveled List file now uses RobCo Patcher instead of LL Injection
[
]New optional RobCo Patch available for the Crafting-Only version. This will add the hoods to leveled lists and still let you craft it[]Mercenaries now have a chance to wear the hood if using either RobCo file
Note: Don't download update if you already downloaded the LL Injection file from v1. 0 until you start a new playthrough. I will still maintain the LL Injection file if bug fixes are ever needed, but it is now archivedRequires RobCo Patcher! (this means no hard LL edits and no compatibility issues)
-
[]Adds the hood onto NPCs that use leather armor such as raiders, trappers, and gunners as well as vendors
[]They will appear at level 1 (like vanilla leather armor) but material variants like Shadowed won't appear until higher levels
[]They're meant to appear at a natural rate, so it may take a few groups of raiders to see one. Vendors like Arturo in DC are a more reliable source
[]It's much less common to find them on non-raiders, especially at higher levels
[]No crafting available, just like vanilla armors
-
[]No LL integration here, just good ole crafting
[
]Found at the chem station under "Leather Hood", crafting makes a standard hood that you can upgrade at an armor workbench[]NEW in v1. 1: Optional RobCo Patcher file available. This will allow you to craft hoods AND will give them to NPCs/vendors (same LLs used as LL Integration main file)

[]Reminder: If you downloaded the LL Injection version from v1. 0, it's a pretty bad idea to uninstall mid-playthrough just like all LL injected mods. If there are bugs, let me know and I'll patch em up
OPTIONAL (for crafting version only):

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros

- Fills a gap for leather armor fans who want a matching hood.
- Offers flexibility with leveled list and crafting-only versions.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires RobCo Patcher for the leveled list version, which adds a dependency.
- Cosmetic only—no stats or gameplay changes.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter leather armor or leveled lists.
For Fallout 4 players who want a lore-friendly hood to complete their leather armor look. Great for survivalists and roleplayers who prefer crafting their gear. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or high-poly armor overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips

- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to avoid overwriting vanilla files.
- Check the crafting menu under leather armor category for the hood if using crafting-only version.
