KC's You Are Exceptional Companion Compatibility Patch Hub

You Are Exceptional is my personal choice in perk overhaul on Nexus. It is very well made.

It also has a very neat system where your companions can benefit from skill and perk progression, just like you! It even has separate progression and perks for non-human companions! (i.e. Dogmeat is a Beast companion, Codsworth is a Robotic companion, etc.)

It only covers vanilla companions (obviously), but Augoeides has a very well written guide in their Articles section on how to patch mod added companions to benefit from this system.

They've also given me permission to do it for you. (:

The RobCo patch will automatically pickup any companion mods from the Requirements section, distribute the appropriate perk, remove "CompanionInspirational" (if necessary), and put the ACHR record into YAE's FormID List. If you use more than one companion mod, you'll want this version.

The optional patches were made following the guide for every companion I've managed to come into contact with in xEdit throughout my 2k+ modlist.

Before you ask, yes. They are ESP flagged ESL.

My patches include:

• []the NPC records for each companion. This is where I add one of the 3 perks, unless they already have CompanionInspirational, in which case their records are removed if the Beast or Robotic perk makes more sense (i.e. Fang is a wolf companion with CompanionInspirational, so I replace it with yaeCompanionBeast) or left untouched.[/]

  []a number of FormID records depending on the diversity of companions the mod adds (i.e. if the mod adds 1 humanoid companion, it gets 1 FormID record; if the mod adds 1 humanoid and a new doggo, it gets 2 FormID records. etc. etc.). [/]

  NOTE: Installing more than 1 of the Optional patches will cause only the last one in your load order to win and nothing else. This is because the FormIDs all share the same FormList.

  If you want to use multiple patches at once, it's as simple as opening xEdit, dragging all of the FormIDs into the FormList of said last patch, and copying any NPC records. Then remove all the patches that load before it when you're done! :D

  Compatibility: This largely depends on the companion. If it's a companion like, say Heather Casdin. They already have Companion Inspirational, so my patch for her only includes the YAE FormList ACHR record. Unless the visual mod you want to include takes that perk away, it's compatible out
