Karna's Sting Wing Puppet Master

Some months back I thought it might be fun to see if I could turn a sting wing into a puppet master much like in the Robert A. Heinlein book "The Puppet Masters."  I talked a bit about the process in this Supporter image I posted February 1, 2021.

I thought it looked really cool, albeit super freaky, in game. So I'm sharing it here for those who might want to try it.

I only did this for female characters. There's a lot of bone weight manipulation required to make this work, and I don't play male characters.

It uses the Fusion Girl body. As FG also uses the ZAZ Extended Skeleton, that means CBBE users will have issues with bone weights if they don't have ZEX.

The mod is ESL, so it won't count toward your normal plugin cap. And you can build the outfit in the chemistry workstation. Alternatively, just type "help sting 4 armo" in the console to get the item ID, and then add it with "player.additem "

It only uses slot 33, so you can wear armor over it, but obviously many armor pieces might clip with the sting wing body. Armor arms and legs in general should be fine.

I gave the outfit the following properties:

• []- no armor protection of note, though you can add ballistic and legendary mods at armor workbench

  []- a little bit of rad resistance (on the idea the sting wing's immunity transfers partially to you)

  []- you cannot die of radiation. When you reach 75% dead of rads the sting wing will protect you from dying of rads.

  []- you can safely fall from any distance

  I also include BodySlide files so you can build it to the shape you wish. If you don't build it, you'll get the shape you see in my images.

  This will use the textures of whatever creature mod you're using for Sting Wing, or it'll use vanilla if you're not using a mod. I use Wasteland Creatures Redone as well as Crows And Creatures Collection, so my photos might look slightly different than your game if you don't use that. Creature texture mods are not required for this.

  Anticipated questions:

  1. Can this be converted to CBBE?

  Answer: Not really because CBBE doesn't have actual genitals. Fusion Girl does.

  2. Can this be converted to male characters?

  Answer: I grant permission to someone who wants to make male BodySlide files for this, but you'll still need my mod because I have a custom material file. Be warned, though, that you must be careful with what sliders and bones you apply to the bug. You'll get horrible distortion if you do a "copy bone weights" or a "conform sliders" operation. See my above link to the Supporter image in which I discuss that. At that stage let me know if you want me to add support for your male body in my ESL, or you can make your own ESL for the male body only. That'll be up to you at that stage.
