📋 About This Mod
After using various scrap mods, the problem I found in them was always the same: fps drops in places like Bunker Hill or Hangman's Alley. I also tried some cleaned settlement mods but they felt less immersive since they were clean from the start with no one there. So I thought about creating this mod which allows to clean settlements live and to be able to choose if you want to clean them or not.
How it works:
Next to each workbench is a prewar trash can that activating it gives you the option to clean the settlement or not. If you decide to clean it you can find in the trash can some extra loot !. Then you can leave it as a container, move it or scrap it. You choose!
Features
-
[]All Commonwealth (30) and Far Harbor (4) settlements can be cleaned. Also the Mechanist's Lair (only the construction area). Red Rocket Nuka World is not necessary as almost everything can be scraped. The remaining objects can be scraped with Place Everyware.
[
]Clean all the elements considered as garbage or that disturb when building (trash, rubble, debris, shrubs, hedges, leafpiles, etc.)[]In the outdoors I left some less annoying objects like some small brambles or leaf piles so that it does not feel so empty and a little more colorful.
[]The precombines have been regenerated in all settlements, so there is no fps drops which makes the game more stable and optimized.
[]Cleaned and Optimized with FO4Edit. Without errors and cleaned precombines to make the mod as small as possible.
[]Some terrain fixes in some settlements.
- Scrappable objects are kept (eg cars, branches, tires). They are not cleaned but can be scrapped by the player.
Recommendations:
- VERY IMPORTANT! Make a backup of your save game first! There shouldn't be any problem, but with this type of mod you always have to be careful.
- I recommed to use this mod in a new game. Can be used in a middle game but if you use another cleaning or scrap mod maybe some issues will be generated.
- If you use it in a middle game, first make sure tu uninstall any other scrap or cleaning mod. If everything looks like before using those mods, then install this one and test it. Again, backup your save game before just as a precaution.
- I highly recommend to use Place Everywhere mod to place objects in the exact desired position and scrap corpses (INS key) (it's a must have IMO)
- Put this mod at the end of your load order.
To fix the issue of objects disappearing or flickering (especially in Sanctuary), I highly recommend installing the following mods:[/
