📋 About This Mod
"Fabricated mostly from factory parts, a prototype and testbed built by RobCo's west coast R&D under the working title Hoplite. Aimed to bring the robustness of the Sentry Bot to the versatility of the Assaultron model, the project was well received and given a military grant shortly before everyone involved was vaporised in an atomic blast."
Inspired in part, by the great and weird works of redportal (TBH I might also take a crack at my own version of Assaultron Tank Leg. update: here it is).
Update 1. 5. 3. 1:
Just a small care package of fixed meshes:
-Fixed Hoplite Assaultron head laser firing out of feet
-Fixed invisible torso top shoulder pads
-Fixed broken animations on the left Minigun shroud
Update 1. 5:
The mod turns one year old today! I was hoping to have a bit more ready for the occasion, but we still get some critical fixes and some goodies:
-Did some cleanup behind the scenes on the meshes by removing a bunch of cross-contaminated, duplicate attachment points (For example: chest armor having duplicates of attachment points for the base head, resulting in head armor sometimes being attached to the chest armor, which can result in crashing when you change/remove the chest armor). I don't know if this will get 100% of the crashes, as there's still some edge cases that I haven't identified. You don't need to fully uninstall the mod to update this one, but you should still unequip all your base Hoplite parts on robots and save before updating to purge any current attached parts
-Along the same lines, I fixed a bunch of incorrect segment data on the meshes. Not really relevant at the moment since it's mostly for making sure the correct stuff is highlighted when targeted in VATS, but there will be enemy versions eventually
-Added correct DLC races for the Sentry torso reactor glow as per my other mod.
-New suite of sound effects! Chunkier footsteps and melee combat sounds
-New Hoplite voice module! Assaultron voice pitched down and modulated, currently has limited functionality: Companion dialogue box doesn't work while recruited. You can talk to them to recruit them, but you need to change to a different voice if you want to dismiss them or anything. But companion quick dialogue works fine (wait, follow, etc.)
-A cute lil' Hoplite toy model, craftable in the Utility section of the Chem station, for the time being
1. 5. 1+1. 5. 2+1. 5. 3:
-Fixed incorrect file path for some sound effects.
-Temporarily removed the claw spinning idle sound because it's looping incorrectly and getting stuck
-Fixed the right arm auxiliary plates causing crashing
Features:
-Reinforced Assaultron frame (head, torso, arms, hands, legs)

For Fallout 4 players who want a visually distinct robotic companion that blends Sentry Bot and Assaultron designs. If you're into unique follower aesthetics and don't mind a niche mod, this is for you. Skip if you prefer lore-friendly or humanoid companions.
