The Hog Splitter

This simple little mod adds a hog splitter, a f**-off giant cleaver originally used in meat processing before modern amenities like band-saws and conveyors came into vogue, to the Commonwealth! This ain't your momma's cleaver, oh no, this bad boy is ʙɪɢ. Coming in at a base 25 points of damage (same as Grognak's Axe), which can of course be improved by mods and appropriate perks, the hog splitter's humble purpose also makes it an effective weapon.

As a melee weapon, there isn't much on offer in the way of mods, but there are still some to choose from, including:

10 Grip Materials (5 worn, 5 clean)

2 Blade Materials (Rusted and clean)

2 Blades (Chipped and not chipped)

5 Upgrade mods (improves damage)

The hog splitter is level-listed by script onto Super Mutants, vendors and general loot, starting in around level 10, and can also turn up in Legendary forms as well. One can also be picked up in the Fens Street Sewers at no extra charge.

Installation

> Install using Vortex, simplest and easiest way, but not the way I personally use.

> Download and install manually. This involves downloading the zip file and extracting the contents (HogSplitter.esp, -Main and -Textures.ba2) to your Data folder, and enabling either through the in-game mods menu or a mod manager.

Uninstallation

> Either through a mod manager or the in-game menu, disable the mod. You can also delete the files from the Data folder if you want to rid yourself entirely of it.
