HIGHWAYMAN - Personal Car Fast Travel

This mod was created to offer an alternative and immersive fast travel method to those who dislike the vanilla fast travel system or are playing on the new hardcore survival mode. It does so by adding a car the player can use to travel to a selection of locations which also acts as a container that can be used to store items. To maintain balanced gameplay the car requires fuel to travel, and initially has to be repaired to be of any utility to the player.

On the road from Sanctuary to the Red Rocket Truck Stop you will find a ruined car you can interact with. Upon activating it you'll be given the option to repair the car. The materials required to repair the car are:

Once repaired you can activate the car again to use it. You are given the option to store items in the trunk, refuel the vehicle, and if the fuel unit is not empty, fast travel to one of (currently) 35 locations that you have already discovered. These locations are Diamond City, Goodneighbour, Vault 81, Cambridge Police Station, CIT, Old North Church and all settlement locations containing a workbench (excluding Spectacle Island for obvious reasons). The car and its stored contents will of course fast travel with you.

The car uses Nuclear Material as a primer for its 210 year old fusion engine and will consume a single piece of fuel each time you travel.

Use Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) or extract the contents of the archive to your Fallout 4 game folder (where the exe is located).
