📋 About This Mod
Welcome to a more HAZARDOUS Glowing Sea. Enter at your own risk!
The purpose of this mod is to make the Glowing Sea much more dangerous in a way that hopefully paints it as a place one would be wise to stay away from. Creatures here are more numerous, glowing variants of each species are more likely to spawn, and some are even stronger than the strongest you may find in the rest of the Commonwealth. Most level with the player. Others do not. While danger might not be everywhere, be prepared for an ambush at any moment, anywhere you go. These are not scripted events, so anything could happen at any time. There are zones where some creatures wait for you to stroll their way, and others which come to you. Some factions may compete or intersect, and you may be caught in the crossfire. Do your best to avoid them or bring your best gear and weapons. More creature spawns means more rads, so bring that radaway! In some cases, the best alternative may be to run...just run.
Creatures added are mainly what you'd already find, albeit in greater numbers, such as death claws, radroaches, stingwings, bloatflies, bloodbugs, and ghouls. I didn't bother adding more rad scorpions or mole rats because I felt there were enough.
I included a few Behemoths rather than more supermutants, considering that perhaps high concentrations of radiation for prolonged periods of time may have exacerbated their FEV exposure. There are also more glowing one ghouls and charred feral ghouls, indicating that such close proximity to the nuclear blast which scorched that part of the Commonwealth, also scorched the local human population. There are certain rarer spawns that I'll leave for you to discover. One or two are too lethal to challenge up close.
Only the base game required. It shouldn't conflict with the update but let me know if it does.
There is now an ESL-flagged ESP available. Download if you prefer ESL, so the mod won't count toward your plugin limit. Use with a save file made before installing the original esp, if you downloaded that first — just to be safe.
INSTALLATION: install with your preferred mod manager.
UNINSTALLATION: simply untick and remove the mod.
Check it out and let me know if it satisfies your Glowing itch. I'm keen to add more spawns and stronger enemies where it seems best, so tell me what appeals to you.
RECOMMENDED MODS:
Pair this with More intense Glowing Sea radiation by CrimsonKnight77 to add to the risk factor, if you think the Glowing Sea should feel more highly irradiated. I also suggest checking out Glowing Sea EXPANDED (More Loot Buildings and Enemies) by Cryptdick. It doesn't add nearly as many spawns as this mod, but it's a welcomed addition.
If anyone feels inspired, make a video of your experience. I'd love to include one or two here. And feel free to submit gameplay pics

- Simple concept that fits right into the game's lore
⚠️ Cons
- Only 66 endorsements—might be a hidden gem or just not widely tested
- Could make the Glowing Sea too crowded for players who prefer stealth
