📋 About This Mod
Description
A modern bullet counted reload system that directly controls Havok Animation.
HaBCR reads custom annotations (HaBCR_LoopStart, HaBCR_LoopEnd) from your animation files and handles reload looping automatically at the engine level. Animators only need to mark where the loop begins and ends — HaBCR takes care of the rest.
Also compatible with existing BCR-style weapons through fallback support.
Main features
Annotation-Based Loop Control
- Uses HaBCR_LoopStart and HaBCR_LoopEnd annotations
- Animators mark loop boundaries; HaBCR handles the looping
- No need to animate full magazine capacity — one shell insertion animation is enough
Direct Havok Integration
- Accesses hkbClipGenerator directly
- Uses setLocalTime() for precise animation rewinding
- Frame-accurate loop timing
Universal Compatibility
- Works in 1st person, 3rd person, and Power Armor
- Supports tactical reload framework
- Clean reload interruption via R key
BCR Fallback Support
- Weapons with HaBCR annotations → Annotation mode
- Weapons without annotations → CullBone/UnCullBone fallback (BCR mode)
- Most existing BCR weapons work without modification
Lightweight
- No ESP/ESM
- No Form ID dependencies
- Configurable via INI (Data/F4SE/Plugins/HaBCR.ini)
This mod is not a BCR bug fix mod. It cannot completely resolve bugs that occurred when using BCR.

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Engine-level implementation means it's not a hacky script—it's the real deal.
- Community-approved with 378 endorsements and 29k downloads.
- Actively updated (July 2026), so it's likely compatible with current patches.
⚠️ Cons
- No mention of required dependencies, so you might need to figure that out yourself.
- Could be niche—if you don't care about realistic reloads, this won't change your game.
For immersive shooter players who want realistic reload mechanics and hate the generic 'press R to magically refill' system. If you're a modder looking for a solid base to build on, this is a must-have. Skip if you prefer arcade-style gameplay.
