Thank you all sincerely for the endorsements i never expected this mod to reach hot-files any time soon.
After days of work and tutorials i've managed to convert the ground mesh of the marine boots into functional armor pieces (legs). This requires the Far Harbor DLC (duuh...). It works the best with the marine wetsuit since other sub-armors (like the vault-suit or the bos-suit) tend to clip trough the sole of the armor boots (i may have set the mesh a bit to high). It's not perfect but it's something, which is more than bethesda gave us.
