Fallout 76 Exploring Music in Fallout 4

Have you grow tired of Fallout 4s ambient and exploring music? Are you wishing to spice things up a little and give the commonwealth a different mood? Have you played (and suffered) Fallout 76 and wish to take one of the few positives aspects of that game to Fallout 4? Well friend, you are in the right place.

This mod replaces or mixes (depending on the version you chose) Fallout 4 exploration music with Fallout 76 tracks. I integrated the different exploring tracks and music palettes so that they fit the location you are exploring. I also have NOT replaced the faction music that plays on certain locations (like the Institute music or Brotherhood, Minuteman, Diamond city, etc...) to maintain the mood in these locations.

Dungeon music has also been added, the glowing sea has a mix of vanilla and Fallout 76 to maintain the atmosphere.

EDIT: There are now two versions of the mod, one that is a replacer and another one that combines the exploration tracks of both games.

Installation instructions:

1 - Own a copy of Fallout 76.

2 - Download and install my mod.

3 - Download B. A. E.- Bethesda Archive Extractor from here:

4 - Extract it anywhere you want it and run it. Go to “File” and then “Open file”.

Open the file “SeventySix - Sounds01.ba2” located wherever you had installed Fallout 76:

\Fallout76\Data\SeventySix- Sounds01.ba2

Select ONLY the “Music” folder and click on “Extract”

4 - Extract it to your Fallout 4 Data folder (Select the “Data” folder, then click “Extract”):

\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Data

5 - That’s it, make sure you have a folder structure like this:

*\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout4\Data\music\76\

76 - Enjoy one of the few positive aspects that Fallout 76 had to offer.

DISCLAIMER: This mod does not contain ANY Fallout 76 files and does nothing on its own, you need to own Fallout 76 to have the music files and follow the simple tutorial to achieve this mod purpose.
