📋 About This Mod

This mod adds new armor sets suited for the early game. The goal here was to add more armor variety not only to the early levels but also for what raiders spawn with in general.

The wood armor set has terrible stats and is almost there exclusively for variety, while the tire armor leans heavily into energy resistance.

These armors can be mixed and matched like vanilla armors.

Big shoutout to the DLC armors for having such great assets buried inside of them.

These sets are fully modular and comes with the following:

Tire Armor Arms

Tire Armor Legs

Tire Armor Chestpiece

Wood Armor Arms

Wood Armor Chestpiece

The new armors are added to leveled lists and spawn after level 1 on raiders.

This outfit works on male and female characters.

That's about it, a pretty simple one, hope you enjoy!

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community adoption (549 endorsements, 120k+ downloads) — clearly fills a gap for early-game gear.
  • Two distinct armor sets give you options for different playstyles or aesthetics right from the start.
  • Modular design means you can mix and match pieces with other armor for a unique look.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only covers early game; you'll outgrow these sets quickly if you progress fast.
  • No screenshots or previews provided, so you can't see what the armors look like before downloading.
🎯 Is This For You?
For survival-crafter players who want more visual variety in the early game without overhauling the whole armor system. If you're tired of the same old starter gear and want something that looks like it was scavenged from the wasteland, this is for you. Skip if you're looking for end-game gear or major stat boosts.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since the mod is modular, check your inventory for individual armor pieces — they might not be a single item.
  • If you're using a mod manager, enable this mod before starting a new game to ensure it loads properly.
  • Look for the armor pieces in your crafting menu under the appropriate category — they may require basic materials like wood and rubber.
