Driveable APC - Trelain Update 01

Updates BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah's Driveables of the Commonwealth - APC Mod.

• []Better headlights.

  []Eliminate the constant "breakdown woes".

  []Added Survival Save.

  []Version 0. 02 - Adds invulnerability for high level characters (see "issues" below).

  I installed Blah's original APC mod and it's really cool to cruise the Commonwealth with this mod.  Unfortunately it started breaking down way too regularly.  So in my frustration I de-archived and decompiled the mod.  As such, I managed to bypass the breakdown functions.

  To be more specific, I modified the scripts so the global "breakdown" variables are reset on a regular basis.  There's still the slight chance you might breakdown.  But most likely you won't have to "fix" the breakdown.  And personally I haven't had this happen, it's been pretty stable.

  I was also disappointed with the headlights.  They really didn't do much except light up the first few feet in front of the APC.  So I updated the headlights to full-bright headlights that really light up the area in front of the APC (as per the image posted).

  Also, since I was playing in Survival Mode and I was use to using the Driveable Motorcycle mod which has a Survival Mode save function available for it, I decided to do the same with the APC mod.

  There's a few other tweaks I plan to do to this mod in the future.  But as long as the original mod author gave me permission to update this mod, I wanted to handle the most immediate and frustrating issues right now.

  UPDATE 0. 02:  I added "invulnerability" to the APC.  This is still in testing as I seem to be able to reduce APC health but I haven't been able to completely kill it.  Extremely high level characters may have different results.

  • NOTE:  Invulnerability may not become active on an already active APC.  If this is the case then you may need to uninstall the mod, re-save your game then re-install the mod.
