Desert-like Weather Chances for Vanilla or (OBSOLETE) True Storms

TS version is OBSOLETE - the newest version of True Storms uses ESP-FE, which makes the True Storms version of my mod obsolete. I do not wish to adjust that version because I am no longer modding at all, so I leave it as-is. You can certainly do so yourself! Feel free. The vanilla version works as intended, however.

You Like Dust Storms? We Got Dust Storms

Choose either file but NOT both, and obviously True Storms is only a requirement if you use that mod.

This tiny mod is a set of overrides to either vanilla OR True Storms to create more desert-like weathers in the Commonwealth. This removes chances for rains and fogs, but increases the chance that you will get:

  []Clear skies

  []Overcast

  []Radstorms

  []Dust Storms

  Does This Mod Change Actual Weathers or Just Chances?

  These files only change the chances of weathers. It will not have an effect on what those weathers look like.

  Still Getting Some Other Weathers

  Yes, it's a Bethesda game so oddities may still occur. However in using this throughout many playthroughs the weirdities tend to sort themselves out eventually. Did you know that when you start a new game the game loads a queue of weathers and keeps going as you wander around? So, once you add this mod you will have to wait a few days for the new overrides to catch up, plus as you wander around the world those old queued up weathers will run and eventually go away ("mostly . . .").

  Also check the True Storms if you use that mod to ensure the holotape options are set as you want. There is a constant rad rain setting to note.

  Feral Horde From True Storms

  True Storms has an optional in its holotape to start up feral hordes that appear during rad-like weathers. This mod adds dust storms to that mix. You can learn more about the horde from the True Storms mod page. I only added dust storms to the list.

  Dust Storm Effects and Heat Hazard?

  One of my other tiny mods in this growing Dusty Dude Abides series is the already published Dust Storm Effects and Heat Hazard. If you have that mod you will suffer a slight health degen during the afternoons, and it will be hard to walk in a dust storm let alone sprint. Check it out.
