Desert Inspired Food Drinks and Stuff - Dusty Dude Abides Immersion Mod Series

New Vegas Like But Newer, now v5. 1

There are plenty of mods to give you New Vegas foods and drinks. My mod takes that desert trail a little differently with a few new things to craft at the cooking station that reflect the southwest . . . but in the northeast! Some recipes use otherwise useless vanilla items (like folders!). It also modifies two vanilla plant names to bring you that good ol' NW nostalgia.

I will be adding to the mod when I think of things that will maintain my mods' themes. Support for all my mods are primarily on their respective pages.

Flora or Food By Any Other Name Smells

• []Northeastern Coyote Tobacco, which the locals in the Commonwealth refer to also as Hubflower

  []Silt Mesquite, which is also commonly known as Silt Bean

  []Saguaro Dried Fruit, name and effect change of vanilla's moldy food (good changes, good food!)

  With the exception of Dried Fruit the plant names are just text changes, no other actions or events or quests or cell replacements. Just walk up to them where they exist in vanilla and see the new name. Fun! IF another mod that also changes something about those two plants loads after this one the name change won't be seen (mostly), so you know. Some mods also add their own Silt Bean or Hubflower variants, which is just fine. People call sandwiches grinders in some places. Weird people, but still people.

    []Can of Tobacco Chew (use it yourself OR take to the chem bench to switch to a can grenade; frenzy effect, obviously)

    []Charred Saguaro (made from Saguaro Dried Fruit and NE Coyote Tobacco)

    []Dirty water because some recipes from many mods require it

    []Mojave-blend cigars ('food' item, no smoking animations fyi)

    []New Vegas King style rolled cigarettes ('food' item, no smoking animations fyi)

    []Salt Lick token (for humans, fortifying the body for either half a day or longer)

    []Sunrise Sarsaparilla (NE version so sunrise, being the east coast after all)

    []Tar Creosote Cigars in a burnt hollowed out book-as-humidor (for extra bling)

    Wasteland Survival Modifiers

    * As with many other items you eat, drink or use in vanilla, having found a particular Wasteland Survival perk mag will add to the benefit. In my mod's case you need only Wasteland Survival magazine #1; made the most sense based on the magazine's benefit.
