📋 About This Mod

I am a huge fan of Damn Apocalypse and its loot overhaul, however I wasn't enamoured with the very basic hunting mechanic. Thus, I wanted to find a way to make my favourite hunting mod, Hunter of the Commonwealth, work together with DA.

Since DA is all about reducing the amount of loot available, I initially found that the default settings for HOTC were giving me too much meat. After some trial and error with MCM settings for the mod, I have found a good balance. Thanks to the amazing MCM Settings Manager, I can offer these settings for your own setup as well. These settings will work without DA, as they only change HOTC MCM settings.

What this mod does:

  • []Removes the DA Hunting Kit entirely from the game. It will not be craftable, nor will it appear in any levelled lists. (I have also tried to remove the loading screen option, but this may or may not work as intended.)

[]Adds Deathclaw eggs to the Harvest option in HOTC; with a 25% chance of finding one (Deathclaw Hands will still appear always when using this option)

[]Adds a 20% chance of finding no meat when using the Butcher option; I found this a reasonable compromise between the original DA hunting and HOTC mechanics

    Update:

    • []Patch amended (version 1. 1) to be compatible with version 1. 6 of Hunter of the Commonwealth, which adds robot levelled lists. As such, I have removed my LL edits for robots in this patch.

[]Patch amended (version 1. 2) for the big updates; 1. 0 for Damn Apocalypse and 1. 7 of Hunter of the Commonwealth (no update required for v 1. 7. 1).

Required (additional requirements on the individual mod pages):
