📋 About This Mod
If your companion starts to sound like a sewing machine this mod will fix him/her/it
Companions sounding like the armor workbench is a reported bug in the release version (and past first hot fix patch). It will basically kill the atmosphere immersion of the game since it´ll drench out all other sounds, kinda like standing next to a turret or generator all the time.
This mod will replace the armor workbench file with a mute one eliminating the problem.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Open your Fallout4.ini file found at 'Documents/My Games/Fallout4/Fallout4.ini". 2. Change the line that reads "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\" to read "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, sound\" 3. Unzip the zip file to your Fallout4/data game directory (ultimately placing a "sound" folder in your already existing Data directory)
Note that this will also remove the immersive sound you normally get when crafting armors (if it´s very important you can just deactivate the mod every time you craft armors and put it back on when you wanna play with your bugged companion).
Most credit goes to Lemures 32 for supplying me with both the knowledge of making the mod and the mute sound from his "remove idiot savant sound" mod http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/529/?
