Common Description

Now work for Fallout4 v1. 10. 163. 0 / v1. 10. 984. 0 / v1. 11. 191. 0 / latest (v1. 11. 240. 0)

show description part of armor/weapon/ammunition in pipboy/barter/container menu. and more.

in vanilla, only ingestibles (chemicals, medicines, drinks and foods) and legendary mod can show description in game.

this means "add flavor text" is usually impossible, and complicate for rest.

so i made this mod.

it's simple. form's description field is now work as 'in-game description field'. (for armor/weapon/ammunition)

(include in desc_test_en.esp file)

alternatively, write description in F4SE/Plugins/CommonDescription/*.txt file for forms which not have description part.

(include in cap_en.txt file)

you can set override or not override base description (by legendary mod or magic effect) in F4SE/Plugins/CommonDescription/Config.ini .

how to add description (by object modification):

1. open xEdit or CreationKit.

2. find form record.

3. add flavor text in description field, and insert ### (three sharp symbol) at first.

4. save and exit.

5. run game.

how to add description (all other form):

1. open or create txt file in F4SE/Plugins/CommonDescription folder.

2. write description for form as "{ esp/esl/esm file name } | { hexadecimal form id } : { flavor text here }" format.

(example: "Fallout4.esm|0000000F:metalic, thin, light, small, sharp, toothed, cold and blooded." (from cap_en.txt))

3. save and exit.

4. run game.
