Description

Blue Hills Research Facility is a lore-friendly quest dungeon for players who love atmospheric exploration, environmental storytelling, and challenging combat. Inspired by sci-fi horror (especially the Alien franchise), this mod will take you deep into the ruins of a sprawling underground facility where the U. S. Army and Vault-Tec worked on secret projects where cutting-edge science reached so far that something horrifying reached back.

• []A Large New Dungeon: Explore a multi-level facility with 3 distinct interior cells: the Administrative Hub, the Reactor Tunnels, and the basement Bio-Engineering labs.

• []A New Quest, "Crew Expendable" with puzzles, encounters, and a dramatic finale. You'll need to interact with the facility's switches, terminals, generators, etc to "wake it up" and progress further!

• []Environmental Storytelling: Uncover the truth by reading dozens of new terminal entries, notes (including a voice-acted holotape), and by piecing together the evidence left behind by the doomed pre-war staff.

• []Custom Enemies: Not all threats are biological. Face off against the Prototype Automatons, a robotic enemy force designed by a brilliant C. I. T. alum, now under control of the facility AI: "C. O. R. E."

How to Start

The quest "Crew Expendable" will begin when you get inside the main lobby of the facility.

The entrance is a small, concrete bunker labeled "U. S. Army Pumping Station." It is located in the southern part of the Commonwealth, in the marshy, flatland area southwest of the Quincy Quarries. Keep your eyes peeled for a small, unassuming concrete bunker.
