📋 About This Mod
Better Project Mojave Voices with xVAsynth
This mod replaces the robotic text to speech with xVAsynth voice lines to make it a little more bearable.
Thanks to (TheFriedturkey - HcGxGrill - C411um13 - MrColonelMustard)'s Project Mojave and Dan Ruta's xVASynth for their incredible work.
Q: Why do some NPCs have no voice?
A: Some NPCs in Project Mojave don't have any voice assigned so they stay silent. This mod doesn't add new voices, just replaces the existing ones that used text-to-speech.
Q: The voice lines still sound robotic / That NPC said this word wrong.
A: xVAsynth is still a developing software, I've tweaked a few pronunciations but the majority was batch synthesized and I don't have the time to review all of them. But expect to see better versions when xVAsynth brings their 2nd gen AI voice models.
Q: Why does the child have an adult voice?
A: There are no available voice models for children, so it's a placeholder really (a placeholder for a placeholder for when the actual lines get voiced).
Q: How do I install it?
A: Extract the 7z file into your Fallout data folder.
Q: Can this break my game/save?
A: No, it's just audio files, no scripts, esp, esm, or esl.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge download count (17k+) shows it's a must-have for Project Mojave players.
- 558 endorsements from the community—people actually vouch for this.
- Directly fixes the biggest immersion killer: robotic TTS voices.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2021—might not be compatible with newer Project Mojave updates.
- Requires Project Mojave and xVAsynth to work, so it's not a standalone fix.
For Fallout: New Vegas players who use Project Mojave and can't stand the robotic text-to-speech. If you're all about immersion and want NPCs to sound human, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you don't use Project Mojave or don't mind the original TTS.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure Project Mojave is installed first, then drop the xVAsynth files into the correct folder—check the mod's comments for exact paths.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex, let it handle the file conflicts to avoid overwriting other audio mods.
- Test in-game early to confirm the new voices load—if you still hear robotic TTS, double-check that the mod is active and load order is correct.
