This made me curious, was there a real Atlantic Financial building in Boston? A little research revealed that "Atlantic" was a real building in downtown Boston that housed the corporate headquarters of the publishers of Atlantic magazine. I checked the location and the building was in game. I noticed it had no signs but quickly found unused Atlantic building signs that fit the shape of the building perfectly.

...and I decided to restore the interior to its proper place in the wasteland and open it up for exploration.

There are many strange things in the unfinished building which I restored as a best guess as to what Bethesda had intended. I redesigned a bit linking unlinked structures. There are several areas that are still not linked, with several doors and elevators that I did not use in this rebuild. Instead I put in equivalent areas. Everything in this reconstruction was implied by what Bethesda had done. Most of the raiders were put there by Bethesda. I tell the story of Atlantic Offices through computer messages.

The reasons behind this reconstruction:

- I used all the major structures.

- There was a secretaries reception area that implied an editor's office was beyond the unfinished door so I made one.

- There are doors that would have to lead to stairwells because nothing else would fit in the space inside the building. I did not reconstruct these. Instead I connected a broken elevator to one of these doors. Elevators use about the same space as a stairwell and require fewer changes.

- Two doors on the first floor match the two doors on the outside of the building but I could not connect them because everytime I tried I got terrible stutter and CTD. This location in the outer world is already in trouble with considerable stutter.

- A third door on the first floor had to lead into the interior of the building but again there was very little space within the outer walls in that direction so I put in a stairway down. The upper floors are pretty full so where else would such a stairwell go. There was also an elevator and several doors way down below the first floor indicating stairs or elevator descended a long way down. What could Bethesda have possibly wanted so far down. I decided it must have been an unfinished vault. So I looked at the other unused pieces in the game and used an unused subway to connect Atlantic Financial to a vault.

- The elevators were not working properly so they are now load doors.

- In the subway is a strange message from a gang called the PhaedrOS. This new gang is clearly moving into the wasteland. But who are the PhaedrOS? As it turns out Phaedros is an orc protection warrior from WOW Dragonmaw. These gang members are in the subway as a variety of supermutants.

A comment on Pha
