Assorted Weapon Replacers (AWR) - Riot Shotgun - Combat Shotgun Replacer

Introduction

The vanilla combat shotgun looks too generic in my opinion. It's too similar in appearance to the combat rifle. In fact, Bethesda should've just had a receiver option for the combat rifle to fire shotgun shells and it would've been more efficient. The problem is that most shotgun mods on the Nexus are not properly analogous to the combat shotgun. To match well, it needs to be semi-auto, not overly futuristic, and lore-friendly. Enter the Riot Shotgun by Cumble:

According to his mod page description, modification of his files has open permissions. I followed, to the letter, the basic weapon replacer tutorial found here on the Nexus :

Important

I removed the custom leveled list injection for the mod, so it will only use the vanilla level list injection for the Combat Shotgun. This helps avoid redundancy and lag from having superfluous scripts in your game.

Great news! I got permission to upload a replacer from Wardaddy's custom animations and sounds. So, that will be an optional main file, one which I highly recommend!

Installation

I don't install mods manually and I recommend to always use a mod manager.

Also, I freely and unashamedly admit I'm a Mod Organizer 2 fanboy, nothing will beat it.

Install Cumble's Riot Shotgun mod (required) - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30087

Install Wardaddy755's Riot Shotgun Animations(optional): https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35268

Using Vortex: Install this next and overwrite when asked. Just the .esp will be overwritten.

Using Mod Organizer 2 (aka the right way):

Install Cumble's Riot Shotgun mod; then install this replacer.

Install Wardaddy's Custom Animations if you want to use that replacer. (optional)

Make sure in the left panel, my replacer mod is under the other(s) so mine takes priority and overwrites.

Or, you can double-click on his mod in the left panel and make the other .esp's optional.

That way, positioning in the left panel won't matter.
