📋 About This Mod
Utilizes the built-in regions to distribute new audio effects from the legacy FO3/FNV mod 'ambient wasteland' into Fallout 4. The new audio bytes include things like distant gunshots, explosions, snakes, dogs, howling, wasteland creatures, flies, shattering glass, metallic creaking, etc. The sound effects have been distributed via the vanilla regions which already exist in the game, enabling sound data where necessary so that new effects can be distributed dynamically. This means out in the wilderness you won't hear shattering glass, or that deep in the city you won't hear howling wolves.
Compatible with anything that does not also touch the edited regions from this mod. May conflict with other sound effect mods depending on implementation.
Install with a mod manager such as Mod Organizer 2 and activate. Alternatively, drag and drop the files in your 'Data' folder and activate with the mod manager of your choice if required.

- Over 721k downloads — clearly a popular choice for ambiance
- Simple concept: just adds audio, no gameplay changes
⚠️ Cons

- Audio mods can be subjective — you might not like the new sounds

💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's an audio mod, make sure your game's sound settings are set to default to avoid conflicts.
- If you're using other audio mods, load order matters — place this one after to ensure its sounds take priority.
- Test in a quiet area like the wasteland near Sanctuary to hear the difference immediately.
