Adrenaline Redone - A Logical Approach

WHAT'S CHANGED?

This mod no longer edits the HC_Manager Quest and is therefore compatible with Survival Configuration Menu or any other mods that edit the Survival Settings. The 3 Kills per rank is still intact. To achieve this I edited the script directly changing 1 number, thereby leaving the Quest unedited. Additionally, I rewrote the mod script to auto-detect your timescale and remove the settings holotape.

You now have two versions, 1 that's compatable with any mod that edits HC_Manager Quest and the 2nd that's compatible specifically with Survival Configuration Menu but not any mod that edits HC_Manager Quest. The reason is because SCM edits HC_Manager Quest and the script. So I just edited his script edit to make it 3 kills. So just load Adrenaline Redone after SCM.

💬 INTRODUCTION

Bethesda had a good idea with the addition of Adrenaline to Survival mode and save or keep your damage bonus was even an interesting mechanic, however the execution left much to be desired. Health and damage multipliers aren't as fun as they think.

THE PROBLEM

• []Adrenaline shouldn't give you a damage bonus to your guns and explosives

  []An adrenaline rush shouldn't last until you fall asleep

  []Adrenaline should realistically affect other things

  []And most importantly, Adrenaline shouldn't break the game's balance

  While I can appreciate the choice and consequence that Bethesda was trying to create by tying sleeping(saving) into the Adrenaline system as the way to end the Adrenaline bonus, it wasn't realistic and doesn't work with how PC players play Survival with Autosaves. Adrenaline Redone completely reworks the Adrenaline perk and functions to address these glaring issues.

  THE SOLUTION

  To address the problem of Infinite Adrenaline, I implemented the "Timed Adrenaline Drop mode" from EAGnR's mod, Adrenaline Rush, and a big thank you goes out to him/her for allowing me to reuse his/her work. Here's a description of how the timer works with the changes I've made:

  - A Timer will reduce the player's adrenaline by 1 rank for every real world minute spent outside of combat for ranks 10-7, then 2 ranks-per-minute for ranks 6 and below. In total, there are 7 drops to go from rank 10 Adrenaline down to 0.

  Note that the actual time it takes to drop from Rank 10 to 0 is about 8 minutes since a drop technically occurs every 1 minute an
