You're running into another human being with a thick metal suit and it sounds like you're dropping scrap metal on the ground.
The bashing sound for the Pain-Train perk sounded lackluster to me. When you run into another human being with a thick metal suit of armor it shouldn't sound like dropping a pile of scrap metal on the ground.
The solution? Get A. B. S.
A. B. S. stands for Alternate Bashing Sounds and its goal is to vastly improve the sound of running into someone with power armor when using the Pain-Train perk.
Available in 3 flavors:
-Loud: no editing was done to the source files, they were this loud when I found them.
-Quieter: Lowered by 5dB, this is the one I use personally. It's loud, but not 10 times louder than everything else.
-Quietest: Lowered by 10db, if you find you don't like the other two options because they're too loud, try this one out. I personally don't recommend this version because the continuity feels off--like it's too quiet yet sounds loud, but y'know, it's there.
