📋 About This Mod
This mod will add trees, grass and plants to the Commonwealth. It was created using two separate frameworks combined for a very dense population of trees. The textures and some models are a combination of many mod authors works and performance has been balanced with visuals. Grass density has been restricted to places it should be seen naturally, so no grass should be seen growing on roads or in buildings etc like other mods.
Far Harbor and Nuka World are also edited to give more vegetation and this mod was designed using all DLC, so it is all required.
Other Landscape mods can be used but be aware that any loose files, such as textures of Vivid Fallout, will overwrite the mod and will not look correct unless choosing BA2 versions and placing them above A Forest in your load order.
0. 5 version was designed to pair well with Natural Landscapes by SpiffySkytrooper https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/38841 Place this mod above A Forest if choosing to use it.
0. 6 version and onward have their own landscape textures, I would recommend using no other landscape textures with these versions, though feel free to experiment, but at least try it first without others.
No other grass or tree mods are required but again, you can experiment with textures and load order. Keep in mind that LOD has been generated for this mod, so if choosing some other tree mod and trying to mix the two, you will get problems with the distant trees.
This file is a mix of resources taken from existing mods, as well as newly created assets. Uploaded with permissions from all people involved.
This mod does not affect or edit precombines in any way.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust – 11k endorsements and over a million downloads
- Keeps precombines intact, so you get the overgrown look without tanking your FPS
- Last updated in 2021, still a go-to for environmental overhauls
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2021 – may have compatibility issues with newer mods or game updates
- Heavy visual overhaul – could conflict with other landscape or texture mods
For Fallout 4 players who want a wilder, more immersive Commonwealth without sacrificing performance. Perfect for survivalists and explorers who've seen the vanilla wasteland too many times. Skip if you prefer the original barren look or if you're running a strict performance mod list.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to handle installation and load order – it'll save you headaches.
- Check for compatibility patches if you use other overhaul mods like Sim Settlements or Boston FPS Fix.
- Test in a few areas like Lexington and downtown Boston to see if performance holds before committing.
