Patching DC and Hangman's Alley can be extremely frustrating but it can give amazing results too. Any exterior mods in that area want to fight over previs.
LOAD ORDER IS KEY. Well, mod selection helps quite a bit also. Even though all of these mods are not required, the Load Order must be preserved. Don't even attempt this list if you can't make your mod manager use this specific load order.
Mods that are Higher in Load Order than the main DC/Hangman's group:
1. Crime and Punishment - Quest mod. Loaded mid-modlist. This mod can be script heavy.
- Optional Mojave Manhunter patch if running the CROSS Mojave Manhunter mod.
- Complex Sorter users have an .ini file available: Mojave Manhunter Complex Sorter .ini
- I've tested and patched C&P with The Great Green Jewel. Let me know if there are issues with D. C. I. R.
2. Crimsonrider's Convenient Resources (Food-Water-Power) . Adds a lot convenience for settlement builders. It has several functions which are all nice but I especially appreciate power radiation from terminals being doubled and powered turrets don't require wires. It's is installed quite a bit higher than the DC mods.
3. Wasteland Illumination - This is actually installed at the bottom of my Weather and Environment section just below Boston FPS fix.
4. Diamond City Ambience - This is actually loaded with other audio mods a few sections higher than DC mods. ** Do NOT quick auto clean this mod. It may sound crazy, but doing so will lead to pre-culling issues in the Diamond City Security hallway, lockers, and garage areas of Great Green Jewel.
THE MODS BELOW GET PLACED AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR LOAD ORDER. ONLY PATCHES GO AFTER THIS GROUP.
6. I no longer run settlement cleaning mods across the whole map but rather just choose the settlements which matter to me. I use Sanctuary Deep Clean and Remodel plus Red Rocket Deep Clean - I then add Settlement Blueprints for those locations. The Deep Clean series has the best features and least conflict of the various location clean-up mods. I would NOT use the Deep Clean Hangman's Alley location with this DC mod list. It will probably break the location but I have not yet tested it.
