Sound of Silence v1. 0 By The Wandering Corpse --------------------------------------------- YES THE FILE REALLY IS THIS SMALL - Silence may fill a room, but it takes very little space ;) SUMMARY ------- This is a very simple mod that simply replaces some of the more annoying sounds such as karma and XP with.... Silence! I have tried other mods that promised such a thing, but to my amazement they replaced the sounds with even more annoying sounds! So instead I have made my own. This mod replaces the following sounds: -XP Gain -Karma Gain/Loss -Level Up -Discover New Location -Gain/Complete Quest -Enter/Exit Vats INSTALLATION ------------ If you aren\'t much of a mod user, or you like to do things the easy way, I highly recommend using Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) to load the FOMOD version. Seriously, if you aren\'t using FOMM then you really should start now. FOMOD Version: Simply load this file into FOMM using the package manager and activate it. Standard Version: Extract the contents of this archive into your data folder. UNINSTALLATION -------------- FOMOD Version: Deactivate the file via the package manager. Standard Version: This unfortunately takes a little more work - you must locate the files you have unzipped and deleted them. The good news is that unless you have other mods that adjust such sounds, you can probably just delete the \'mus\' folder and \'sound\' folder. But it would pay to check no other mods have placed files inside there. NOTES ----- If you would like any other sounds removed, please let me know and I\'ll get on it. If you liked a specific sound I have removed, you can quite easily restore it. Simply delete the .wav file in question. Wav names are self-explanatory. With the possible exception of the level up music: \'mus\\mus_success\'.
