📋 About This Mod

Description Summary

===================

Adds physical constraints for more sneaking realism and a greater challenge. Includes an optional HUD to keep track of your sneaking stats.

Sneaking is accomplished through crouching, so this mod uses several factors based on physical crouching requirements. The goal was to add a bit more realism and challenge.

1. You need sneak points to sneak. The maximum sneak points are based on your Agility, Endurance, health, encumbrance, minus any leg penalties. Leg "stamina" is a new stat and the maximum is based on the leg condition (0 to 100). It serves as a buffer between running out of sneak points and damaging effects, which gives you up to another 100 points to get out of a dangerous situation. If both legs are fully fatigued (0 stamina) and crippled, you will have zero max sneak points and cannot sneak. Therefore, the condition of your legs is VERY important!

2. Your sneak points are used as you sneak, at a rate based on how fast you are moving. If sneaking slowly, the points roughly equate to the number of minutes available.

- If your sneak points drop to zero, your legs start losing stamina. While losing stamina or if a leg is fatigued (0 stamina), you lose 10 Action Points and 1 Perception point per leg.

- If a leg is fatigued, it will start taking actual damage and you also suffer a minor health loss. You will not be able to sleep, wait, or fast travel.

- If both legs are crippled, sneaking is halted and you become exposed! You will no longer be taking any health damage, but will still be suffering from the PER and AP deductions until your legs have some stamina again. If you try to sneak and have no sneak points or stamina, it will be halted again.

- None of this has anything to do with specialized stealth armors or the Stealth Boy. Those just help you be stealthier.

3. Once you stop sneaking, your sneak points and leg stamina can rebuild as long as your legs are not crippled.

4. Extra Tiring option (default is OFF). When ON, leg stamina is deducted more often for an additional challenge.

- While sneaking, you always lose leg stamina, although more slowly if you still have Sneak Points left. This will result in your leg condition and health getting damaged sooner.

- If not sneaking and running, you lose stamina instead of having it restored. If both legs are fatigued, you cannot run. Your leg condition and health will not be damaged, since those effects only happen while sneaking. Walking allows leg stamina to rebuild.

5. Sneaking can become a real challenge when injured. I suggest combining this mod with injury mods such as Kearsage's Triage or my Triage (Special Edition), and MechanicalPirate's Amplified Crippled Effects.
