For those of you who are having a problem running Fallout 3 and or Fallout New Vegas on Win8 and Win8. 1, here is a solution that I came upon by accident by goggle. I checked it out myself, and lo and behold, Fallout 3 and NV both was playing after putting this in. So all this was is Xlive.dll needed to be installed, you sign in, and voila it automatically takes care of the Ordinal 42 mising in your dynamic library.
