📋 About This Mod

Adds a chance of suffering severe eye damage instead of concussion.

NC\'s Eye Damage v0. 9 I do a lot of modding but release very few mods. This is mostly because most of the gameplay changes I make are either so intricately tied together that seperating them would be too much work, or are already covered by other mods to a degree that renders a new release unwarranted. Every now and then something (usually relatively small) strikes me as release-worthy, tho, so I slice it out of my master mod and unleash it on the unsuspecting masses. This is one of those mods. Forum thread: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=931780 MOD CONTENT The mod adds a 20% chance of the player getting eye damage instead of concussion upon having her head crippled. Eye damage is extremely serious shit, rendering the player near-incapable of combat. Concussion is also made somewhat more serious: It now gives -3 AG, -3 IN and -2 PE, and the blurring shader effect is slighly more frequent. I recommend using the mod with other mods that amp up the seriousness of the cripple effects; This one should override the chances in those pretty neatly. INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING Just stick the esp into the Data folder and select it in the launcher or on FOMM. No special tricks whatsoever required. COMPATIBILITY The mod should be compatible with pretty much everything, apart from other mods that modify the head cripple effect, obviously. One other point of possible incompatibility is that I had to modify the Generic quest script, which normally handles casting the concussion spell on the player. The script also keeps track of whether the player is addicted or not, so any mod that adds new addictions or removes the old ones potentially conflicts with this one. KNOWN ISSUES Once the shader effect for eye damage has started, it will go thru the entire 10-second effect cycle even if you inject yourself with a Stimpak immediately. This is not a bug; It would just look stupid to cut the effect cycle short. All other ill effects are removed immediately, tho. VERSION NOTES v0. 9 Initial release. I sliced this mod off of a larger one I have been working on, and since there\'s a slight chance I created some bugs in doing so, I\'ll treat this mod as a beta for now. Apart from bug-fixes, and possible modifications based on user feedback, expect very little to happen with the mod in the future.
