Diner Home - The Golden Hen

Thanks for the hot files guys, you rock!

This is my first attempt at using the GECK (I have worked plenty with Skyrim's Creation Kit, so I had an idea), so forgive me if there are any bugs! You will only need the base game for it.

The Golden Hen is a fortified diner that has been turned into a cozy house for the Lone Wanderer. Since I wanted to make it suit my own character, there are potted plants and books around. I guess you could argue the house is kind of overpowered - there's a workbench, an infirmary, a jukebox (I HAD to add it for a proper diner experience!), laboratory, a sink with clean water to drink, and plenty of storage and clutter to make the house look lived-in (I even made a dog bed of sorts... Love my Dogmeat pal). The area is also fully navmeshed for your companions.

Just for fun, I made a custom sign outside welcoming visitors, and included a funky flamingo. These are custom resources - read on for links if you want to use them in your own mods!

The place, located between the Jefferson Memorial and Rivet City, comes with an enabled map marker so you can travel to it right away. I know the location may be kind of overused, but I just have to build my houses by the water, and there weren't many good spots. I think it doesn't look out of place, at least.

To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your 'SteamSteamAppsCommonFallout 3Data' folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp.
