Cartridge Caps - Caps replacer

Cartridge Caps 08-28-13 Ashven With thanks to; Beth Game Studios Updated to include ammo pickup and drop sounds. Changed the \'Caps\' counter in the pipboy to read \'CTDS\' to better fit the mod. I did not think it would be a good idea to use more than four letters, because menus can be finicky. I apologize if I trigger flashbacks for shellshocked modders. DESC The premise of this mod is simple - it simply replaces the bottlecap with a cartridge, a la Metro 2033. It has an icon to reflect the new model, and it also named \'Cartridge\' so as to be a bit more immersive. The idea behind it is that in almost any apocalyptic scenario, the most valuable assets you can have are water, ammunition, and food. Metro 2033 has sold me on the idea, and it\'s just one of those small tweaks that sort of feels right. Now, there\'s nothing I can/will do about replacing all references to \'caps\' in the game (such as in dialogue) so consider all caps to be of the \'Busta\' variety. Another limitation is that I can\'t feasibly change guns to use the cartridge (at risk of conflicting with just about every good mod out there) so you won\'t be shooting them. I suppose the spent cartridges are the ones used in trade, being valuable in an economy where you can\'t just make more. (Blah, just don\'t overthink it. It screams Metro 2033.) INSTALL/UNINSTALL Istallation; drag all three files into the data folder, and tick the new esp in FOMM or your manager of choice. It would be better to load this after anything that might change the caps. Uninstallation; delete the \'ashven\' folder from your meshes and textures folder, and delete the Cartridge Caps.esp from your data folder. OTHER Seeing as how simple this mod is, feel free to include it in one of yours. No permissions needed, as the model is of BGS origin. Also, for anyone that cares, I had trouble getting the cartridge model to work right. The cartridge models in the base game have collision and fall nicely, but you can\'t drag them or pick them up. I had to kind of hack the vanilla bottlecap model a bit, so it looks like a cartridge but has the collision of the bottlecap. Functionally, you can\'t tell, and it works just fine. Just mentioning seeing as how the cartridge doesn\'t \'roll\' down slopes. It\'s a cartridge that thinks it\'s a bottlecap, and I for one am tolerant of it\'s life choices.
